9 Aug 2009For G-d’s sake, Apple, stick by those KISS principles. This has been this (effed up) way ever since version 1.0 of iPhoneOS and I’m really sick of canceling new SMSs when I actually want to send them by clicking the same spot I click when I send email.

Yeah I agree! This is such a stupid place for a cancel button! Especially when you have written a long text and you are adding lots of people only to keep pressing the sign and accidentally cancelling the whole sodding thing! Grrrrrrr!

At least you have a cancel button. I’m confused you have cancel in your SMS? How did you? I have the iPhone 3GS.

I have a cancel button when I write an SMS to a person or group of persons I’ve never written an SMS to before or if instead of going to an existing conversation I go to the SMS app and click the New SMS button on the top right when I’m in the conversation list.
This issue pisses me off because I sometimes spend 15 minutes adding people to a distribution list just to wish them Happy New Years or something, write the message and then I hit cancel instead of hitting Send…

How do we get Apple to change this? Or is there a custom way to change this morronic setting?

Is there an IPhone update to rectify this shortcoming in an otherwise good phone? I lose count of how many times I’ve lost long messages due to the cancel tab being on the right side.
